Purple. And more purple.

I have been thinking about the color purple. Two little girls in my life passionately love(d) purple. Pink will do for a backup. Is it the way toys are marketed? I don't think it's about clothing - there isn't much purple for sale. Is it the young age? Does the craving go away?

Thirty years ago my daughter insisted on purple clogs. Her twin brother then didn't care about colors - but his daughter, 35 years later, craves purple. I asked her if she liked the gold clock in the living room. She looked at it and said, "Could you get me one in purple?"

Love this! I think it may be in the genes. It was pink that won the contest at our house.

I love this sweet window into your family and the question posed at the end by your purple loving grandchild.

I have loved purple all of my life and will always love purple! My daughter's room is pastel purple (even though, that isn't her favorite color now that's she's older), and my master bedroom is purple! Purple forever!

It is interesting how many girls gravitate to purple and pink and boys to blue. I have to wonder if society, the marketing field, or something else have an impact on this.
